Town Democrats plan meeting

Published: Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005

WILTON - On Nov. 2, 1,209 town residents voted for Democrat John Kerry for president. The 40 members of the Wilton Democrats would like to meet the rest of those people.

The group will hold an informal get-together Sunday from 4-6 p.m., at the Unitarian Red House in Wilton Center.

The social part of the event will include an old-fashioned potluck dinner, drinks and nibbles, and lots of conversation. Thanks will be extended to state representative candidates Linda Foster, Andy Roeper, David Woodbury and Gerry Wroe.

Several events are scheduled, and a “very special door prize from across the pond” will be awarded, according to the group.

If you plan to attend, or for more information, call Hal and Joan Melcher at 654-5819, or Gail Proctor at 654-6671.

Now this is grassroots at the bottom that we have got to start in our neighborhoods, towns, cities, etc. so we can win in 2006 and 2008.

I just thought this sounded so cute.
