This was about two years ago, coming up to the debates. IMO, it's worth watching again just to see JK laugh so heartily; I can't help but laugh along. Also, notice how he works at diminishing expectations for the debates. ("well, George Bush has won every debate he's ever had...")

2. i thought it was ok

but my favorite late night comedy appearance by Kerry was probably the Letterman show he did. i think Green Day was on at the same time and they took a picture together which GD put on their website. Kerry looked so great, almost like a proud father or something.

i did a search and found a pic of it. notice while it's a rock band, Kerry still stands out the most, and in a positive way. i don't think most politicians could do that.

3. I have that picture blown up

and hanging on my wall. Not only is it my favorite politician, but Green Day is a great band. They helped get a lot of young voters out for Kerry.

8. I never got to see this when it aired. He seems so natural and

relaxed and nice. I just could never figure out how people could believe he was aloof and unfriendly.
