anybody in Michigan want for a small flock of chickens?
rooster and 9 hens free for the taking... my sister doesn't want to take care of them anymore... :(

13. That's for sure.
I lose a chicken now and then to hawks, even though I have good fences. One of the realities of "free-range." And my chickens DO range all over the 6 acres.

If coyotes could get to them, too, they wouldn't last a week.

7. I know somebody out there could use fresh eggs
the chickens are less than a year old. I bought 50 - my sister ate 10, sold 30 and now I would like to give the rest away.

9. I've seen chickens fend for themselves in Virginia.
And Key West is crawling with them. I thought maybe they could start a feral chicken colony.
