4. We use a modified Square Foot.

Square Foot Gardening was one of the books we used as a reference.
Since we have plenty of room, we have expanded the dimensions for some plants.
So far, no speckled butter beans, but if you have some seeds.....

7. It's -3 degrees outside at 8:11 in the morning,

and temps have rarely made it into double digits for the last 10 days. The "high" during that time was 27. Most days, the high stays below 20.

We have tons of snow, but my photobucket account quit letting me on, so I can't share the pictures I took. We're looking at snow off and on for a few more days.

I kept faucets dripping so I wouldn't lose water.

That didn't prevent the outgoing pipes from freezing up. No showers, no flushing, no nothing.

Ever tried to dig a privy trench in snow and frozen ground to last until thaw?

Ever had to USE one?

I find myself just hoping for temperatures in the 30s.
