Top Chef All Stars - Finale

Did anyone else catch this?

We were so happy Blais won. He's by far our favourite chef out of all the seasons. We're going to be in Birmingham this holiday season, and intend to eat at his Flip Burgers.

Apparently the fois gras ice cream isn't a stretch, as Flip has a fois nitro shake on the menu.

I was pleased that they dropped all the cockamamie twists for the finale and just let them cook. The blind taste test for the selection of sous chefs was hilarious. Sexist Mike got three ladies for sous chefs. :D

And there were no excuses. No bad product, no bad sous chef, no sabotage, no choking. Blais was clearly the best chef throughout this season, and it's appropriate he won.

Top Chef Masters starts next week, btw.

1. Don't get your hopes up about Flip...

I found it very mediocre both times I tried it. If I go back, it will only be for a shake.

2. Blais deserved the win.

He's an excellent chef and amazingly humble. This nice guy deserved to finish first.
