Honestly, I don't really watch "Dancing with the Stars"...
I flip to it once in a while. I don't even know what night(s) it's on. But from what little I saw, why the hell was Jerry Rice one of the finalists? Everytime I saw him dance he was stiff and dull. I really thought the best dancer was the blonde from the wrestling world.

Does any faithful fan know if the audience vote was the deciding factor? I don't know who finally won but I did see the part when the blonde was cut, leaving the two guys and their partners as the finally pairs.

1. I didn't watch it, but I read about it. Here's an article with the scoop
So after the final judged dance, the standings look like this: Drew's in the lead with 87 of a possible 90 points, Stacy's one back with 86 and Jerry is third with 80.

Then, after a Mary J. Blige song, and a couple commercial breaks, we find out who's in third place, and we know this: The voting public loves them some Jerry Rice. Shockingly, Stacy and Tony are eliminated, and host Tom Bergeron is right when he says he could feel the air go out of the room. Yeah, Rice is the greatest football player ever, and he's probably improved more than anyone, but it doesn't seem right.

2. Kibler screwed up
(And yes, I got hooked on this show midway through the season. Normally stuff like this has no appeal to me.)

Last week, everyone did two dances in one night. One that was strictly ballroom, and the other a "freestyle." Rice and his partner did a very nice free routine to Kool and the Gang's "Celebration." They even dressed the part in 70's-style Afros and leisure suits. Rice did a good job. He wasn't nearly as stiff as he had been, and also showed a lot of personality. Kibler, however, bombed. She and her partner did a "Saturday Night Fever" John Travolta imitation that was, frankly, boring, and did NOT showcase her talents at all. Everyone was left flat by it, and they lost points that they could not really make up for Sunday night. That, plus Drew Lachey did a KICK ASS routine that made Kibler's dance even more forgettable.

Last Thursday's scores were combined with Sunday's scores from the judges to determine the winner. Kibler bascially needed a perfect score of 30 on Sunday night to make up for Thursday. She got 27. Rice, I think, got the same, which moved him up a little while Kibler stayed put. I think if she had done a different freestyle routine on Thursday, she would have been No. 2. I, too, was shocked when she came in 3rd, but one bad dance did her in.
