Anyone see a need to expand the Sci-Fi group into areas not really sci-fi?

Horror, for example? Genre movies in general?

I'd enjoy one forum where I could discuss comic books, comic book movies, science fiction, fantasy, horror, even over the top action/adventure.

Yes, a GEEK forum.

Anyone agree?

1. Wouldn't bother me. A lot of these subforums are kind of redundant.
A "Geek" forum would pretty much cover most of my interests in life.

2. Me, too! Including art/artists of the genre
would be cool, as well. Maybe I'm taking it too far but most people I know are not just interested in only one aspect, and many stories are a combination of sf/fantasy/horror/adventure, if not all sometimes. And artwork in those areas can be really outstanding.

3. Here's a very cool sci-fi blog that covers it all.
Even the art part. One of my favorite sites on the internet.

5. Forkboy, Now that's what I'm talking about!
:hi: Thanks. I'm going to spend hours there reading and clicking away. I really didn't believe the art part but it's really there.

6. I would never lie about science fiction art.

;)

That site is totally awesome. On Sunday mornings he posts a sci-fi movie for the day, and I've spent more than a few Sunday mornings sitting here watching whatever movie he puts up. The free fiction stuff is awesome. I haven't read a full novel since February, but I've read dozens of great short stories there. I spy out a lot of sci-fi related stuff online, but this site is easily the best I've come across.

Glad you like it. :toast:

4. I've wondered about that on several occasions
Lovecraft pops up here every so often, and he (and his correspondents) are arguably more "horror" than "science fiction."

If there's a vote on it, count me in.

7. I wouldn't mind it.
It would reduce the number of forums on my customized forum list.
