Otherwise she'd be on TV all the time going on and on about how great she was, how she'd crush her enemies into bloody pulp just to watch them bleed, etc. etc.

Cheney's the Goa'uld. His picking himself to be Shrub's VP was the dead giveaway. Still, there were lots of other signs:

Apparent ability to survive ailments that would kill most normal humans? Check. (See ref. multiple heart attacks, embolisms (betcha anything his 'pacemaker' is actually organic and curled around the base of his brainstem)

Willing to go to any lengths and tell any lie to achieve goals? Check. (See ref. 'Plame Affair', 'Iraq reconstituted nuclear weapons')

Uncaring contempt for human suffering? Check. (See ref. Iraq war, support for indefinite detention and torture, etc.)

The only question is exactly when did the head snakes get to him.
