Xian "writers" should thank their non-existent god for us...
Edited on Mon Dec-08-08 09:09 AM by onager
I was just browsing the Books-A-Million website. In a few days I'm leaving Egypt for 2 weeks to visit my mother/relatives in South Carolina, so I wanted to check out what's available. Books-A-Million has several stores in the area.

Naturally I entered "atheism" in the Search engine, then "dawkins."

Great googly-moogly!

4. It's sad, but I am actually tempted to read some of those.
Especially Why Monkeys Are Monkeys and People Are People.

That's got to be hilarious.

8. It's hugh!
The Books-a-Million blurb says:

Schroeder puts evolutionary research in layman's terms to prove, once and forall, that Darwinism is no more than human suppositions.

Biologists must be feeling pretty silly right now!

9. No Kidding!
Can you imagine basing a belief on suppositions? That could really blow up in your face, couldn't it?

12. Heh...I'd be more impressed if Shroeder put evolutionary research in technical terms to prove
once and for all, that Darwinism is no more than human supposition.

13. That's worked so well for the Discovery Institute, hasn't it?
Juvenile that I am, I want to refer to Shroeder's "suppository beliefs", but that's 180 degrees wrong.

5. "The Misguided Quest to Destroy Your Faith"
That shit always killed me. If your faith is so strong, how am I a threat to it? Kind of like worrying about gay men making me gay. When you are back, see if you can see Bill Maher's "Religulous". It is pretty good.

17. I am in the babble belt...
the war on christmas is extremely rough. I need at least a months R&R before engage on the Fight Against Faith :) Seriously, though, I was taking a smoke break with one of the women in the office, and I started talking about other religions who used the Jesus theme long before christianity arrived on the scene. I swear, she acted like lightning was gonna come out of the sky and strike her just for listening to me. It was quite amusing to me, but then, I am sick that way.

15. Doubt/Atheism has been around for as long as religion....
The Greek philosophers Leucippus and Democritus, along with others questioned the existence of the gawd(s). Evolution was also first brought up by the ancient Greeks, Darwin was not the first..
http://www.iep.utm.edu/e/evolutio.htm

There is no 'new' atheism, it has not changed or had been recently hatched.

14. Those people are all hacks...
They have no bases for an argument, because they have ZERO evidence to support their claims.

They can write all the books they want, but without evidence, they ain't got jack.

gawd is just pretend and 'faith' proves absolutely nothing.
