Anyone else here have visions or intuitions
of something bad to happen soon? I've had the feeling that we all need to surround ourselves with light and do our spiritual practices and rituals to strengthen ourselves for what is to come.

1. Misfortunes and Blessings
In the northern frontier of ancient China, there lived a man who was particularly skilled in raising horses. People knew of him and called him Sai Ong - literally "Old Frontiersman."

One day, for some unknown reason, his horse got loose and ran off into the Hu territory beyond the Great Wall. The Hu tribes were hostile toward the Chinese, so everyone assumed the horse was as good as lost...

Everytime I think of all the bad things happening in the word, I stop and consider two things.

First, my life is a gift of heaven. Only through selfish desire do I fear what may happen to me. The ten thousand things are born and die. Change is the only constant in life.

Second, and most important, no matter how screwed up things get the fundamental nature of Yin/Yang cannot be altered. When Yin gets so dark, a little bit of Yang peaks through and grows stronger. Change will come. Neither you or I may be here to see it, but wanting it is selfish desire.

Hey, if that little sermon doesn't work, try this. Go out and get John Coltrane's Love Supreme or Pharoah Sander's Karma. They'll do wonders to lift your spirit and connect you with the Tao.

Jazz and Taoism. Like beer and, well, another beer.

3. Funny - when I am selfish, I am very happy actually. Around me,
I have reasons to celebrate galore - personal reasons - and I do.
It's when I think about the world, the planet, the country as a whole that I get sad. I guess we view selfishness differently.

2. I have had oddly visual dreams on occasion
that seem to presage major disasters. Often they involve astrological images of some kind, like huge moons or planets too close to the earth.

Last night I dreamt that there was a total solar eclipse, but that the angle of the sun had been changed somehow, and the moon's shadow was only a small 2/3 circle in the center of the sun. Strange "snapshot"-like images of the sun's trajectory were visible across the sky in red, like vision trails from looking at a bright image and then looking away.

No one else but me seemed to know that this meant a cataclysmic event was about to happen. I had to get everyone out of this large communal living hotel before it came, but no one would listen. All I could do was save the pets, and I went to each apartment in the hotel and gathered them up to wait for it (whatever it was) to hit.

This isn't the first such alarming dream I've had lately.

4. Maybe the Christmas Day earthquakde and tsunami was it.
How are you feeling now? Does it feel personal or like you are going to be directly affected? I had the same feeling for weeks, but I don't feel it the same any more.

5. not like that
My abilities don't generally extend outside my immediate life.
I have had an excellent intuition for a long time, but just recently came to terms with it instead of being afraid of it.

I don't know how to develop it better, but as of now, I am able to "know" if a friend is going to call, if we'll end up somewhere we don't usually go, generally if I or my hubby will receive good news or bad news. Shoot, when I go grocery shopping, if I follow my intuition of which row to drive down while parking, I will always get a good spot, but everytime I try to deny it I get a crappy spot.

Its stuff like that. Insignificant (or seemingly anyway).
I don't know how to develop it better, I just know I have always been this way and I always trust my intuition, especially when making big decisions.

6. I think this is a good time to give yourself a 'protection' booster
also, include astral protection. No 'walk ins' allowed. Only visitations that have loving intentions..etc etc.

Stay alert.

7. I had a dream about tidal waves three days before the Tsunami
Edited on Thu Feb-24-05 10:52 AM by joefree1
Only proof I got is I told my wife about my weird dream. It was about work until the end when I was driving home along the coast of San Diego (I live in LA). I remember these huge waves coming at me before I woke up. I ask my wife, "what was the tidal waves about in my dream? That was so strange."

I have a renewed sense of awe about sprirituality. I also pay a lot more attention to my dreams.

8. I had one, too
I don't know how far before, exactly -- took me awhile after the tsunami to recall it and think -- was that what that dream was about? I was on a big ship and a huge wave came and rolled us on our side -- not a storm, just the wave -- but we all got back to port ok. I told hubby about it when I woke up. Not long ago, I had a similar one, but the boat was small and I was viewing it -- not on it -- big wave, people on the boat scared, but all survived -- so maybe it all just has another meaning.

9. I had one too . Exactly the night before .
I dreamed I was standing on a beach . The beach was beautiful and calm and sunny . Just beautiful. And slowly as I starting looking right I saw some high stormy waves in the middle of the beautiful sea . My proof : I told my BF about the dream ... and then the next day , it happened . When I realized that I had a dream about waves , I was in shock and asked him if he remembered . He said he did . It was very eerie . But let's me still know that I got " it " .
