Teacher defends actions about Wiccan altar
GUTHRIE CENTER, Iowa (AP) - A Guthrie Center High School shop teacher suspended for not allowing a student to build a Wiccan altar in class says he doesn't understand why he is being forcing him to act against his Christian beliefs.

Dale Halferty received a 5-day unpaid suspension and said Wednesday he has been asked to meet with school officials when he returns to work.
