I had an experience
regarding Blood.

Several years ago I woke up and found that somehow someone came into my home and painted blood on my right arm.
What I would like to know is what the purpose and significance of marking someone with blood.

I have no experience in Cults.
I have limited knowledge of Wicca and Atheism.

1. RE
Probably too little information...

I'd been having some problems with people I started chatting with online. Nothing real extraordinary.

I also was being harassed by neighbors. Phone calls, nobody answering when I'd say 'Hello'.

It was a very bad neighborhood, run down - red-light district - drugs, etc. I never had any real problems there because of that, most people knew not to walk at night anywhere alone. Mind your own business.

I woke up one morning and went to the bathroom to piss. It wasn't until I began washing my hands that I saw red something
on my right arm. Gasping I say out-loud, What in the Hell is that! I smelled my arm. Blood. Painted (with brush marks) on my arm...

It is hard for me to believe, to this day, that someone could enter my home while I'm sleeping, paint Blood in swipes on my arm without waking me. I do believe someone(s) must have had to use a drug of some sort.

This is why I ask. What or who and why/significance. I may be on the wrong forum for this, if so please direct me to the right one.

1998 was a long time ago and this is no long as important as it once was.
Mentioning this then to people had people believing there was something wrong with me so I never knew why except to scare or intimidate. That is going to great lengths though.

2. Wow. That would scare me.
I have no clue what it means, and am only posting this so you will know that people are reading it.

I have had an interest in paganism, occult things, parapsychology and the like for 50 years and don't recall having heard of anything similar.

3. Yep, it did
Thanks for posting/responding. If you've never heard of this in the years you've been 'dabbling' I guess I'm glad.

It rules out a lot. I could find nothing on a web search either.

It was a lot of blood. Like they had it in a pail of some sort to dip the brush in.

4. Sometimes kids dabbling in the occult will make up "rituals"
that have no particular history. Was there someone around who would have gotten a kick out of totally unnerving you?

5. As strange as
it sounds, no.

As I said in the OP I was having some problems with some people I began chatting with in a chat room.
I don't know if you've ever been part of that world but people are cliquish in chat rooms and quite protective
of their space. I knew they didn't want me there but at the time I figured it was a public room and I had a right to listen and be there.

A lot of strange things with my phone began happening. I wasn't able to connect with those I was calling. I was getting very strange messages on my answering machine. I would get phone calls and nobody would say anything.
My neighbors were acting pissed at me, apparently because the Police were doing a lot of Raids for drugs, prostitution and various criminal activities. How that had anything to do with me I don't know.

So basically I was being harassed on several fronts.
I'm 55 years old now, 44 when this was taking place. The only people who I knew then that might have tried to 'unnerve' me were the next door neighbors. They were an alcoholic man and his wife. She had grown children who were into mostly crime of all sorts, and didn't seem likely to bother with me since I didn't really associate with any neighbors. It was safer to keep to myself.

Most, if not all of the problems began when I started spending time in that chat room. I honestly think some people from that room were behind the Blood incident. I say this because after I washed up I got online and some there were talking about their kids having really bad bloody noses the night before. You probably think this must just be a coincidence but it's not. There were many conversations that "coincidentally" rang true to something going on in my life.

The Internet is a very dangerous world. I was new to the Web and had recently bought a computer with a student loan so I could do my research for classes at home. I stumbled into this chat room while taking a break from my unsuccessful attempts putting together a paper for Personality Theories. I am not unsophisticated in the ways of the world or stupidly naive, but I was totally unprepared for the problems I encountered talking to anonymous Comic Sans fonts.

Still doesn't give me an answer though as to what or why blood on my arm.

6. Have you tried googling your old address or a local paper to see if
there have been any related events more recently that could explain it? Maybe a group of people turned criminal and have been arrested for taking something like this too far.

7. No
the building has been abandoned now for the 3rd time that I know of.

And who polices the police?

:tinfoilhat: or so most would say if I told you what I cannot say.

I'm not interested in if someone has been arrested or who the perps are. I have a pretty good idea what this was about.

What I am interested in is what significance the blood plays.

This was way more than a group of local thugs. These people entered a locked apt. at night while I was asleep, apparently used some kind of injectable drug and used a paint brush to put blood on my arm. Not the work of a band of crackheads pulling off a crime to get nothing in return.

8. Whatever that was...it has nothing to do with wicca...
Real Wiccans are healers..not evil-doers. You need to look elsewhere for your answer.

9. I hope
I never said or implied, nor do I believe Wiccans are evildoers. That said, I have not offended you.

Do you have any suggestions where 'elsewhere' might be?

10. You did not offend me :)
My first reaction was that you had a small nose bleed in the night and your movements in the night may have smeared the blood on your arm to look like brush marks.
I am not saying that is what it was..I am saying that is what my first reactions/thoughts on the matter was..and they are usually right.
Always remember however...nothing and NO one has power over you unless you give power to them..and fear is a way to get you to give away your power.
Do not fear these people if indeed it was a person/or people. You have just as much power as anyone else..you just need to learn how your powers work.

11. Might be some sort...

...of black magick spell for love and lust. I understand there are several of those kinds of spells which involve marking someone with blood. Can you recall if there was someone interested in you back then that you may have rejected?

And often what looks like blood might not be blood. We have magickal inks we use for writing spells (usually protection spells) one in particular is dragons blood ink and when smeared on the skin it does look like real blood.

When my partner wakes up I will ask if she has heard of anything like this and see what she comes up with, but don't hold your breath... she is also Wiccan, but like me she studies white magick only.

On edit: typo

12. This may sound right out of left field. Don't discount a psycho-Christian cult
The first thing that leapt to my mind, strangely enough was the plague of the killing of the first born of Egypt by the Angel of Death. Granted the lambs blood was put on the doors of the Jews that were to be spared IIRC, but there is a lot of "blood sacrifice" symbolism and some actual practice, or near practice IE. Abraham and Issac in Old Testament Christianity. A Wiccan woman I trained under had a coven in her hometown that was under constant harrassment by a local Pentacostal Church. Including, she claimed, psychic attack. Something I happen to believe in and feel I've been a target of on several occasions. Just my pair of pennies. Be happy to answer any questions I can.
