Shadow People

Did you see that dark, fleeting shape out of the corner of your eye? Perhaps you caught a glimpse of a strange entity that is being seen with greater regularity around the world.

"What was that?" You were sitting comfortably on your sofa reading the latest issue of Fortean Times in the dim light when movement across the room caught your attention. It seemed dark and shadowy, but there was nothing there. You returned to your reading - and a moment later there it was again. You looked up quickly this time and saw the fleeting but distinctly human shape of the shadow pass quickly over the far wall... and disappear.

1. Yep. I have usually been approached from my left.

After Mom died, the spirit who patted me lightly on the head came from my left side.

So did the friend who had died and he knew no one had called me to tell me. He tried several times, including getting comfortable in my bedroom rocking chair while I was getting ready for work. I finaly "recognized" him and called out to him one weekend while I was cooking. After he heard me call to him, he never came back. I even told him I wasn't afraid and he could stay a bit longer if he wanted to, but he was off to get a little more stuff done before going to a final place.

Another friend's astral projection came by to tell me some bad news about a mutual friend who had died. AS far as I can tell, the astral projection came by right about the time he was writing me a letter about it.

2. One of my experiences:

Back in 1993 I was working at a long term healthcare facility (a nursing home) on the night shift with a 'grandmother aide' in the Medicare (highly skilled)section. It was around three a.m. and all was very quiet. I was sitting behind the desk doing charting while the aide (Lilly) was doing her needlepoint for gifts to her grandchildren. Lilly had worked at this facility for the past twenty years while I had only worked there for six months. In the middle of charting, I noticed that I was nodding off to sleep and jerked my head up to stay awake. I saw a gentleman in the hallway I had never seen before and asked Lilly "Do you remember an elderly man with grey hair, a long white beard, wearing a red flannel robe?"
"Why yes", Lilly said, "That's Mr. (so and so). He died here about a year ago. Why do you ask?"
"Nevermind." I replied while wondering how I could tell her that he was standing right in front of her.

3. Yeah, we had a "creepy" room on a floor I worked at the hospital.

Sure, plenty of people had died in all of those rooms, but this isolation room was different. We rarely used it, but every time I went in there to check out a strange noise I got the creeps. That usually didn't happen to me while I was working -- my mindset was all practical, not this kind of spiritual. But I discovered a couple of other nurses who experienced the same kind of creepiness iun that room.

4. I get shadow animals

Pretty sure I know one that frequents my orbit. Seem to attract others. Think it is a matter of acceptance in may instances. My dog and cat respond to something at the times I notice a presence. Often it is their response that gets my attention when something is about.

The one I think I know seems to be tutoring the new young cat who seems to have a very old soul and long history (seemingly through several cat lifetimes) with my husband.
