Does this group get no action or WHAT?
What can I do to help ensure that Al is our next president? I'm talking about issues, blogging on climate change, but is it too soon to DO something more about a Gore candidacy? I just feel like there is something I can be doing but maybe it's better to sit down and wait? I dunno... :banghead:

1. It's really slown down in this group the last couple of weeks or so

There's plenty of Gore talk in GD and GDP, but it's been hard getting people to bring the discussion over here.

Get involved at a local level -- go to http://www.algore.org and sign up. Find a group near you, and if there isn't one already -- start one! We've got a number of groups herein Michigan -- we've been gathering petition signatures and spreading the word that we want Al to run. We're pretty confident that he will jump in in the fall, but he needs to know how much support he has before that will happen.

Oh, and, by the way -- Welcome to DU!!!

3. I'm on the right
That's Randi Rhodes on the left. I met her after the march in New York last April.

4. Sweet!
It must be really interesting to meet a radio personality in the flesh!

5. It was certainly great meeting Randi!
She's not the first radio personality I've met, though. My uncle used to be a big time DJ in New York. And I worked on Nancy Skinner's campaign for the US House last year -- she used to host our local Air America affilliate's 6-9 a.m. show and before that had one of the first liberal talk shows syndicated out of WLS in Chicago. She lost by only 5% to an entrenched incumbent. Hopefully she'll close the deal in '08.

6. Chiming in a little late
I've had some computer problems then I got hit at work with several projects in a row. Actually I blame evlbstrd. My internet usage slowdown started soon after his St. Patrick's Day Hoolie.

Don't wait for something to happen. Make it happen. There are people like you out there who are wondering the same thing. If they see you doing something, they might just start getting active/involved themselves. One person can make all the difference. Look at what Gore has been able to accomplish by giving his talks about global warming.
