Al Gore still to be considered
A post by DeadEye Dick:

Just heard on Hannity Radio (it is the only station I can get from my country office). He has John Zogby and Scott Rasmussen and are discussing what strategies it would take for the Dems to win the GE.

John Zogby says there is talk about handing the Presidential nomination to Al Gore, the VP to Obama Barack and offer Hillary Clinton the majority leadership.

The belief is that this would please more democrate voters then any other combination.

Both pollsters say that this is a serious discussion taking place in inner circles.

1. Wow!!
This is huge. I've just been in e-mail contact with a couple of friends (one DU/AGO type person, the other is one I worked with a lot in Akron on the Kerry campaign in 2004) and they were both interpreting the Obama/Gore/Dean/Pelosi talks as urging Gore to endorse Obama and bring an end to the Dem. bleeding that is going on. I've thought, from earlier postings/columns/blogs, etc. that the scenario discussed above is the more plausible (and obviously more to my liking). If anyone can pick up anything else about this, "bring it on." I've been waiting for some discussion of this possibility beyond the Huff. Post or Clifts blogs on the Newsweek site, etc. This could be it.

2. I just posted a note over at that site
directing any interested folks to come on over and visit us here at Gore headquarters. Hopefully we'll pick up some more people in new states to start doing some super delegate research for us. Let the dream continue.

4. Read your post on the original thread...
...I suggest you start a new thread over there with those same directions. It would be interesting to watch the view counts start to go up here!

7. Done,
and thanks for the suggestion. We better be ready to bar the doors as the masses start to intrude.

8. Rod, can you link your post here please?
Otherwise, I might never find it. I don't venture into the Gd Primaries area too often.

9. You folks have got to help me out here
I'm still new at this. The post is at GD:primaries and it is still fairly near the top. And someone over there wants a post of this thread. Can someone do all this for me, or tell me how to do it. I feel sooo inadequate!

10. Well, since you asked nicely...
Here is the thread over there:

Now, I'll go over there and look to see where they are asking for this and I'll put a link there.

11. Okay, all the linking is done.
Now, can we all please get over there and recommend Rod's post? And kick it a bit? And the same for DeadEyeDyck's post that Mabus linked to? Thanks!

13. Well, Rod, that was pretty
ballsy, if I may say so myself. GD:P is a crazy place these days and they eat small babies for appetizers most days. I am surprised that there are so few snarky replies at this point.

I do think though, that after the next batch of primaries, people will start to be concerned about what a brokered convention actually would entail. If the Party leaders are trying to figure it out now, they are wiser than I thought they were.

3. Great news!
Thanks, Mabus. This is a very good sign, and dovetails perfectly with our efforts.

6. I just read through that thread and made a bunch of comments.
You know what is really, really great about that thread? The way people are responding to the idea. Some are against it, but very few. Lots of people that support Obama are on board with it, and a few Hillary supporters, too. This is very encouraging.

12. I am amazed at the comments on the GD Primaries thread!
I thought there would be more negative reactions.

Back in August, I think, I gave my freak out date as October 15. Once that date passed, I was surprised by my calmness. Maybe that little bit of hope that I have carried w/me during this campaign for a brokered convention is what has kept me calm.

14. I also found it interesting that the nay-saying...
...had lost a lot of volume. Every possible digit is now crossed...

15. Here's a link to the Zogby site
where there is a brief discussion about the Hannity program. So, it was not a dream: http://www.redstate.com/blogs/sickofobama/2008/mar/20/john_zogby_on_hannity_radio_show_talked_of_rumors_that_al_gore_will_take_obamas_delegates

Happy reading.
