The World According to Gore: The Incredible Vision of the Man Who Should be President

The reviews:

Editorial Reviews
Michael Moore
He's been right about global warming. . . health care . . . the war in Iraq. I think the country would like a moment of redemption to right the wrong . . . . I really hope he gets into the race.

Book Description
Al Gore is the most popular politician in America today. Having lost the controversial 2000 election, he has come back into public life as visionary, underdog, environmentalist, and Oscar-winner. This book shares his voice and his vision with readers across America and around the world.

Al Gore on Running in 2008 "I am not thinking about being a presidential candidate. But yes, it's true, I have not ruled it out for all time. I see no necessity to do that."

Al Gore on the Environment "The largest polluters close their ears and spend millions of dollars a year trying to intentionally confuse people into thinking global warming isn't real."

Al Gore on Our Failure to Prevent 9/11 "On September 11 the FBI had one agent assigned to monitor Al Qaeda and protect us against Osama bin Laden. I found that absolutely incredible."

2. Now you force me to reveal my secrets
I recommended it already. I usually wait to kick threads until after they've been up for a while to make them visible again.

Thanks for the head's up. I just kicked it.

4. Thanks, Mabus...
It was meant as the all-inclusive "you". Should have written "we" or "one", as not everyone is psychic! :-)

D'oh!

3. !!!DO YOU not see what this Is!!??
THIS is his "election year platform" book!!

Again, he's playing the game very, very well.
If you've noticed; almost every candidate puts out a book around the year or two they are running, that outlines who they are and what their vision of the future is for America; what they believe.

Gore, since he is not currently in the race, and wants to make sure that that connection isn't drawn quite yet, had someone else write the book independently.

He is still staying above the fray....

I just LOVE it.

Can't wait to read....

6. It certainly appears to make the case for him
Personally I see TAOR as his election year platform book and this as the accompanying materials.

Anyway you look at it, I want Gore to run. I really think he would be a great president and could help steer America to a better course. I also think that he, above all the others, has the gravitas we need to gain the trust of other countries, their people and their leaders.

I can't wait to get my hands on a copy of it either.

:hi:
