7. Thanks for remembering those who served in uniform but there were millions

of patriotic civilians who provided armaments and supplies needed by those of us who served in wars and peacetime. Without both groups, the U.S. would be a conquered nation.

My dad parachuted into Normandy on D-Day and went on to fight in several major battles in Europe. He never spoke of his wartime experiences when I was a kid but in recent years he's related a number of stories that would curl your hair.

He's 85 now and is completely disgusted with Bush ... says he didn't fight that war so people like Bush could destroy the USA.
