AAFES gas prices flat in Germany, U.K.

Gas prices won’t change much this week at Army and Air Force Exchange Service stations in Germany and the United Kingdom, but will go up noticeably in the Netherlands.

Average prices in the U.S., on which AAFES prices in Germany and the U.K. are based, were mostly stagnant, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.

Price changes for midgrade and premium gasoline in Germany and the U.K. are so small that customers will have to purchase at least 10 gallons to notice even a penny difference. Midgrade moves up 0.1 cent per gallon to $3.376 in Germany and $3.314 in the U.K. Premium moves down 0.1 cent to $3.486 in Germany and $3.424 in the U.K.

Diesel prices jump a more noticeable 3.4 cents in both countries to $3.611 in Germany and $3.548 in the U.K.

In the Netherlands, where fuel is sold at cost, midgrade is up 4.9 cents to $3.773 per gallon.
