OSI investigating death of Grand Forks NCO

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Air Force officials say a special investigations team is looking into the death of a noncommissioned officer from the 319th Air Refueling Wing.

The man’s name has not been released. Grand Forks Police said they got a call about 6:30 p.m. Monday and found the man in his home, where he was pronounced dead.

A statement from the Grand Forks Air Force Base said the Air Force Office of Special Investigation at the base is investigating the incident.

“We are deeply saddened by this loss,” said the statement from Col. Diane Hull, the 319th Air Refueling Wing commander. “Any loss of an airman is tragic, and it is important to us to find the root cause.”
