The 3rd Infantry Division will celebrate its 90th birthday on Wednesday in Baghdad and to help enliven the festivities, some 275 soldiers will participate in a mass reenlistment ceremony.

The event will take place at Al Faw Palace at Camp Victory just outside Baghdad’s city limits and will be officiated by Gen. David Petraeus, commanding general of Multi-National Force-Iraq, according to an Army statement.

The celebration will include soldiers attached to Multi-National Division-Center and from the 3rd ID’s 1st Brigade Combat Team and 3rd Sustainment Brigade.

The re-enlistment ceremony is one of five birthday events to take place over the coming week.

Other birthday highlights for the nonagenarian division will be a cake-cutting ceremony and a Marne birthday dinner, followed by a concert by Michael Scott at the Camp Victory Center Stage.
