Confirmed VA Short 3.9 Billion
Today I had my first chance to talk to Rick Weidman of Vietnam Veterans. If you ever watched the Veterans Committee hearings on CSPAN. You know that Rick is always there. He confirmed that we are in deep do do. Appointments must be done before the 1st of Jan or they may not see you. Clinics will cut back on hours. Doctors will be short and staff. Here is the kicker the Democrats will have two Budgets to deal with and Bush's 2008 Budget will be real bad for us. Again Cat 7-8 vets on chopping block, 18-to19 VA Hospital closed. Meds to go up. Service cuts all down the line. The Fight has begun again. This time we have Democratic Chair-mens and the votes to stop it if we can get the word out now.

1. And to think
bush is creating a greater burden on the VA because he just had to be a war president. And "conservatives" merrily go on their way whining about the fake war on christmas while one month's worth of expenditures in Iraq would make the VA solvent. I've been incredibly lucky healthwise but the day may come.

THANK YOU MONKEY MAN FOR ALL YOU DO.

It's his job to make sure the money goes into the pockets of the wealthy elites, now that he's one of the boys.

La Cosa Nostra..Our cause.

4. So we get to choose which meds to keep.
I'll make a list and decide. Or better yet I'll ask the Doctor to help me, I will see him tomorrow, I'll let you know about January, I have six appointments next month. Five of them are out of town I will really be pissed off if they cancel the one next Friday. It is in Dallas and I had to pay for the airline reservations on my own dime, nonrefundable, of course.

But the copays are killing me as it is, if they raise them, It will kill me. I have been hearing about a couple of hundred dollar initial service copay too, like the HMOs have. You heard anything along those lines? That would really kick me in the ass...

8. It's the things like closing the Pain Management Clinic.
That's why I have to go to Dallas. They closed the one at the District Hospital here, which was only seventy miles away. There was a shuttle to there.

7. Every time I hear the "support the troops" mantra
I think about the way veterans are being shafted and just want to scream. It's sickening.

9. My copays have gone up 300% under Dubya alone!!!
Take a tiny bit of the cash we feed the Iraqi Monster every day and the VA would be covered. BASTARDS!
