CAMP RED CLOUD, South Korea — A $20,000 bonus for enlisted military police soldiers who become warrant officers under the Criminal Investigative Command has been reauthorized through Sept. 30, 2010, according to a command press release.

To earn the bonus, soldiers must complete the special agent Warrant Officer Basic Course and sign a six-year commitment as a special agent.

The command, commonly known as CID, is fully staffed with special agents in other areas — but understaffed for warrant officers, according to the command.

Prospective warrant officers should be finished with their apprentice status, have 24 months of CID investigative experience and at least 60 hours of college credit.

CID will consider soldiers within the 31B military police and 31E corrections specialist series on a case-by-case basis, according to the release.
