FORT RILEY, Kan. — Two more batches of soldiers from Fort Riley’s 1st Infantry Division are returning to Kansas after 15 months in Iraq.

About 350 soldiers from the combat aviation brigade were expected to attend two ceremonies Wednesday at the northeast Kansas Army post.

The brigade deployed in 2007 and conducted nearly 18,000 missions with a variety of combat helicopters. The brigade transported more than 91,000 personnel and 4,000 tons of cargo during its tour.

Soldiers began returning last week and the entire brigade should be back in Kansas by mid-December.
