CHESTER, W.Va. — A West Virginia soldier is dead after a boxing match at his base in South Korea.

Pfc. Jason Price of Chester died two hours after the weekend fight at Camp Casey.

Price, a 21-year-old tank driver, was wearing headgear. An investigation and autopsy are pending.

Friends remembered Price on Wednesday as a jokester who loved his job, raced horses back home and played video games.

Price knocked his opponent down in the first round. Friends told the newspaper that he began to stumble in the second but said he was OK.
