An airman serving three years in prison for possessing child pornography escaped from his escort at RAF Lakenheath, England, last week and continues to elude U.S. and British authorities.

Airman Basic Jeremy Parrott, 29, escaped Sept. 24 after a medical appointment at the base hospital, according to a Lakenheath press release. He was spotted in the village of the Brandon, about five miles away, the evening of Sept. 26, wearing jeans, a dark-colored jacket or hoodie-style shirt and a baseball cap. Security forces believe the airman, who does not have a U.S. passport, may be trying to reach the eastern coast of England.

Parrott was convicted in July of two counts of possessing child pornography and one count of receiving child pornography. He was sentenced to 36 months’ confinement and a dishonorable discharge.
