ST. ROBERT, Mo — A man suspected of robbing a hotel and a bank while wearing an Army physical fitness uniform was arrested Tuesday afternoon, the Stone County Sheriff’s Office said.

Christopher M. Dwyer, 34, had been charged earlier in the day Tuesday with two counts of felony robbery. Bond was set at $250,000 in each case.

Police said a desk clerk at a Holiday Inn in St. Robert identified the man in a surveillance photograph from a bank robbery Monday as the same person who robbed the motel Sept. 15.

The robber took $4,250 from the bank and forcibly took $125 from the hotel, police said.

St. Robert is located in south-central Missouri just north of Fort Leonard Wood, one of the Army’s largest installations.
