OK! How does one get in touch with the Rev. Jackson and
the Rev. Al Sharpton. Now is the time for these two MINISTERS to proclaim the Gospel and set the evangelical fundamentalists straight on the intepretation of scripture and DEMAND that SOMEBODY RECOGNIZE THE VIOLATION OF THE SMITH ACT AND DEMAND THE ENFORCEMENT OF PRIOR RESTRAINT!!!

1. Somebody needs to get in touch with somebody
These radical right lunatics are giving all Christians a bad name and as you can see any day of the week on DU, there are far too many people LEAPING at the opportunity to hold bigoted views towards Christians and wishing to write off the whole religion.

I grew up Presbyterian but I haven't stepped foot in a church (except for wedding, funerals etc.) in probably 20 years. And even still, I can't decide if I'm more disgusted by the rhetoric coming out of these bible-thumping psychopaths using Christianity to conceal their hate and racism or the idiots who act as though these people represent all Christians.

3. I agree. And it will probably be a black Christian leader who will speak out against this mess

Which, of course, means that he will be marginalized and overlooked.

Frank Schaeffer has been getting SERIOUS props from me for his speaking out and condemning these people. But as far as I know, he's the only one doing so. I don't know where the black Christians are right now. Probably too busy trying to find jobs. Obama has so much support but there are so many people hurting right now.

Edit: Oh, and here's how you contact the Revs: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_can_you_contact_Al_Sharpton_Rev_Jesse_Jackson_and_John_Wiley_Price_directly
