Fond Easter Memories.

Easter was never complete without a Chocolate Easter Bunny waiting for me on Easter Morning. After dinner we would pile in the car and head for the Easter Fair decked out in our new spring duds. No computers or Play Stations then. The television only had three channels. Just our own imaginations to make the best of a warm spring day.

Happy Easter!

1. I remember
the run up to Easter Sunday, the frantic shopping for the perfect dress and the night-before hair straightening and, finally, the photo op on the way to church. To this day I don't know how people can eat those marshmallow chicks because I groaned to find them in my basket. It would've been rude to just toss 'em out and I couldn't get the dog to eat 'em so I'd put the little cell-wrapped package in the refrigerator where it'd stay until my Mom threw them out. I always got solid bunnies (:bounce:), quite a treat since sweets weren't big in my house and I'd start with the ears...

Thanks, Underground, for bringing back fond memories!

2. I've always loved Easter.
How could I not love a holiday when I got my hair done, new shoes and clothes, and candy? Of course the old traditions have been updated. I bought my own outfit and shoes (because I really needed an excuse to shop ;-)) and dyed my own hair instead of the cut I use to get when I was little but atleast I still got some of the home made candies I grew up with :D.

Happy belated Easter :hi:!

3. Every Easter, I always got an Easter basket
as well as the Easter Egg Hunts. Those were always fun. This Easter, I received an Angel collectible. It's really nice.

Happy belated Easter everyone. :hi:
