Sigh....**Warning Graphic** link included
I see all the hate Hillary/Obama threads on DU-GD:P, and had no idea what the GOP will pull out of their arses for the GE to smash any Dem candidate. Those guys we love to hate in GD-P are such amatuers in comparison.

As much as I miss JRE, not sure he would have been edited into this too

Unfortunately, Obama takes the biggest hit here....and it's only April.

1. We are so screwed -
And what really bothers me is how they are shrugging this off like it's no big deal. This is going to go over badly and we are going to be stuck with McSame for the next eight years. I miss Edwards too - he could have won.

2. Yes we are
Edited on Mon Apr-07-08 09:36 AM by MissDeeds
I can't remember a time in my life when I felt hopeless about our nation's future, but I'm almost there now. There is no one on the horizon who can save us, no one currently running who is worthy of our trust and confidence.

My only hope is that Gore or Edwards factor into the convention - or that they emerge as the ultimate dream team - but that's not likely to happen.

The GOP will eat Obama alive, and we will be stuck with McCain, and more war, more killing...:scared:

3. There will also be more war and more killing
Edited on Mon Apr-07-08 10:28 AM by balantz
should either Obama or Clinton make it to that sacred office.

They have no intention of disrupting the channels of wealth flowing to the corporate oligarchy. They will allow the elite to continue to run the show.

4. I agree
Their campaign rhetoric focuses more on sniping at each other than addressing important issues. They hardly ever mention the war and getting out. Obviously, it's not a priority for either of them.

5. MissDeeds - you and I have the
same hope - I just pray that something shakes at the convention, we can not continue down this path. I watch a ton of Discovery, History Channel and Nat Geo - and there are few shows about the end of times...to make a long story short, the year 2012 is making me very nervous.

6. I sadly feel that the next few years will be the scariest ever for human-kind.
I fear we will be brought to the brink of annihilation.

I hope we survive and begin to care for each-other and our beloved Mother Earth.

People THE WORLD OVER must rise up as one voice and boycott the evil-doers who wish to destroy us all.

Sounds unlikely, but fear and desperation will make people open their eyes.

Where's Ghandi/King/Jesus -- whomever. Where is our next hero-savior? Will one be allowed to live long enough to guide us through this dark night?

We can be sure that neither Clinton nor Obama are the one to lead us to the shores of security and a viable future for all.

9. Sorry if I sound a little loony here with this apocolyptic talk,
but unfortunately I see this as a real possibility.

I hope I am wrong and just loony after all.

10. We're the people we've been looking for.
What frightens me most is that most people are still looking for a savior.

Look in the mirror, and greet the savior.

11. While I agree with you
I also know there have always been certain foci individuals like Ghandi and King who help us bring out our own heroness. Perhaps it will be different now, but that seems to be the way it has been for all of history.

12. The problem is that we don't have them. They keep getting shot, or shot down.
I'm really scared of all the waiting around... and pinning all the hopes on one person.

I see that all over, and THAT, to me, is what spells doom.

7. Ugh.
I'm queasy now.

And the comments on youtube didn't help any either...it hurts my brain that there are people who think that way out there...

8. This is what we will get if we nominate Obama. And the Dems will have brought it on themselves.
We deserve it. We should have nominated Edwards and instead chose a shady deal either way.

13. the trap we are in
The party is once again snatching defeat from the jaws of victory and making the same mistakes that it does in every election cycle. Of course, the time to talk about that would be now, while it is actually happening, but there is more resistance now than at any other time.

We are going to run an effete candidate again - people flipped out when someone said that here a while back, but it is true. The combination of an effete candidate and an even more empty and meaningless campaign then the last few we have had - I didn't even think that was possible! - makes the election McCain's to lose.

We like effete and aristocratic and aloof and professorial - is resonates with "who we are." Once we can convert the rest of the population to liking effete and aristocratic and aloof and professorial, we win!!
