[Two Americas]

The two things that people are throwing at us to invalidate the Edwards candidacy (other than haircuts and personal smears) -

1. Things are not that bad, so we don't need "class warfare"

2. The people are rejecting "radical left" ideas and "anti-business" ideas

I have been saying that the general public is far to the left of even the most "progressive" party activists and the posters here where it matters - on the economic and power imbalances in society (which are what politics are really about.)

Over half of the people have been airbrushed out of the picture for too many Democrats. They have become nothing more than extras in the glorious movie "Suburban Professionals in Progressive Fantasy Land."

If you disappear millions of people and lie about what the public thinks, only then can you get away with saying that there is a danger of going "too far left" or that people want "hope" or want to reconcile with their antagonists and make nicey-nice.

The Democratic party is being dominated and controlled by the very few who are using a couple of brazen and very destructive lies to create a false context within which all of the discussion takes place.
