2. I got to meet Stevie in 1988.
Nice, humble guy, despite his celebrity status at that point.

He really had the most important thing for a musician: "the feel" for what he was playing.

Gone much too soon.

4. If I'm Not Mistaken. . .
. . .that's from an very early Unplugged where both SRV and Satch played acoustics. They didn't jam (at least not on air), but they were both on the same show. I remember that episode and this version reminds of his performance from that a REALLY, REALLY lot.

5. Yep. Back when the show had a host and guests.
Can't remember his name, but the host would join in on a tune ot two. He played with a weird thumb-over-the-top-barre-ing-multiple-strings style that I'd never seen before and haven't seen since. (I assume he was playing some kind of open-tuning.)

6. I Know Who You Mean
When i think of it, i'll post it. I remember him as clear as day, as far as his face, but can't think of his name. I'll think of it, though.

7. I Thought Of It, Iggo
Jules Shear! He was the one who was the original host of Unplugged. That popped into my head when i was driving home from work.

8. Ah-ha! That's him, alrighty!
From his Wiki page:

"Jules's aforementioned unique guitar playing style consists of tuning the guitar in an open-G with an E in the bass. The guitar is not left-hand style per se (with the strings installed in reverse order), but actually held upside down, with the fretting hand's thumb wrapped down over the upper edge of the neck, barring across the strings, and the low E being at the thumb's tip."

Open G with an E bass, flipped over.
