Big night for the band tonight.
This is the first real gig for the whole band tonight. They have been bugging me so I booked us in the watering whole that my regular acoustic gig is in.
We have never played out as a complete band so this should be a lot of fun. It will be interesting to see the reaction we get because we do cover tunes but not, for the most part, the covers most bands play. Our first set will be George Harrison almost exclusively. Kind of think of concert for george without Ravi....
I think we are going to have a blast. Then tomorrow night I'm back in for my regular acoustic gig.
Didn't I say here somewhere that I didn't want to play out anymore?

2. It looks like all went well.
The owner of the club approached me last night at my acoustic gig about the band playing weekends. He had an idea of our band going on early in the evening (we draw an older crowd) and having another band close out the night. It's an interesting idea but I have to think about it. I already play there every other wednesday (quickly turning into every wednesday) and I'm not sure if I want to commit to anything more than having the full band play once a month. The early night idea is intriguing though. It's almost the best of both worlds.
I'll have to talk to the guys and see what they all think.
I apologize for the rambling and thinking out loud.

4. the more you play live the tighter the band will get
If you like the venue I say go for it, at least for a while. As someone who has played solo and in bands I think the more you get to do gigs with the whole band the better. Especially if it's a place that you like and feel comfortable in.

Glad it went well.
