Saw Bruce Cockburn the other night...

...you can have your Yngwies and your Nunos...give me the amazing rhythmic and harmonic brilliance of Bruce Cockburn's guitar playing any day.

I saw him at McCabes Guitar Center in Santa Monica...a VERY intimate setting. There I was in the front row just amazed and astounded by his talent.

His right hand work is not to be believed.

and he is very progressive in his politics, too. He had just been to Baghdad and had some horror stories about the conditions there.

So's one of the guys. I've seen him a couple of times though not recently. I don't think he's been through the Pittsburgh area lately. I'll have to check. I love Stealing Fire and Nothing but a Burning Light.
