New Equipment Showcase
My 15 y.o. son just bought himself a new guitar. This is the one, only in black.

I have to admit, it's smokin' fun to play, even if it is very, very pointy.

1. Nice
But yes, very very pointy. Do you have to wear safety glasses while playing it?

2. I haven't been, but I will start.
I must say, it's a nice piece of work. Floyd Rose, really nice jumbo frets, and the knobs and switch are very high quality.

And it just cranks.

Gonna have to change the strings because my son plays dropped D with a set of Zakk Wylde strings. He uses a .060 for a low E, or rather, low D. It's gonna freak out the Floyd Rose.

3. Now THAT Is A Pointy Guitar!
See, i told ya mine weren't pointy! Shapely, yes. Pointy, no! My only beef with the Jackson's i've played is that the neck is too flat. It feels like the Ibanez Wizard II, to me. Maybe this model is different. Don't know.

4. The neck IS flat.
And it's a two-piece bolt on.

I picked up a Les Paul at the store after playing the Jackson and it was like holding a 4X4.

But, yes. Pointy.

Did it come with an 80's "big-hair-band" wig?

Mine didn't, but I did have my own back then (big hair, that is)....
