I have writer's block- ask me anything!
I have a lot of great ideas for songs floating around my head, but I think they all suck when I put them to work. Maybe I just suck altogether...

1. Just do it. And see what happens.
So what if it sucks. I've done a lot of stuff that I thought sucked and others liked it.

And I've done songs that I thought were great and no one else cared.

It's all a part of being an artist.

2. I have a lot of trouble with lyrics but I can write music and melodies
easily.

Right now I am going thru a relationship "thing" and I find it hard to write about. It amazes me when people can write about things while they are going thru them. I always have to process it and write about it after the fact.

3. Never edit during the writing process, edit afterwards.
Just like, let it all flow out, dude.

4. It's the transition from all electronic to guitar-based that's killing me.
Also it seems like I'm playing catch-up after years of putting the music hobby thing off. I feel as if I'm in a stylistic void. I just started playing electric again after a number of years (I'm still a novice), so naturally I want to throw everything to the wall to see if it sticks. Thanks all for the advice.

5. Always carry those ideas to term
Aborting them will teach you less than a full-bore miscarriage.

I wonder if I can start a Musician Group flamewar with this analogy. :D

6. Keep your Jesus off my remix!
Somehow, that doesn't sound as poetic
