My local homeschool group has gotten so big there is a waitlist!
I was interested in taking my son to the pee wee classes for messy art and science and due to the huge amount of people and lack of space they have a waiting list. I decided to wait until Fall anyway because the age is 4-6 and he is 3, but wow can you believe it? Now who says there are only a handful of homeschoolers out there?!
Here is a link to their webpage. It isn't much. They are a wonderful, secular group. They do meet in a church, but that is only for the space.

1. That's great!
I'm going to direct others in our group to your website. It'll be good to have some fresh ideas! :yourock:

2. Oh, it's not my website.
Bambi is the director. She is wonderful. I can't belive what she had done! People come from an hour away to attend classes and hang out at the center. She has all kinds of people come in and teach different things. Her husband does portfolio reviews at the end of the year. She has all kinds of materials and resources available. Also, she has made all kinds of links within the community and finds oppotunities for homeschoolers. Like right now at the YMCA there are swim lessons for homeschoolers and also she was just looking for teeage homeschoolers who are good with video cameras for a project in a theatre. There is a big outdoor day coming up with all kinds of activities. I have only been a few time because my kids are so young, but they were so welcoming and so accomodating. I'm sure if you wanted to contact her and said you saw her website she would be more than happy to talk to you about ideas for your group. I know that in the summers she lives on a boat with her family - or she did last summer anyway!

7. I'm going to try to get our newsletter going again...
The person who was doing it became too busy.

I have no clue what I'm doing; but I guess I'll find out. :scared::D
