2. I have a handicapped daughter and it is not uncommon for adults to behave

badly toward children like this. Some people think they should be kept out of view of 'normal' people, some think they deserve it because they were 'cursed' by god for a good reason. One mother told me she caught a lot of flack because people believed her son had 'sinned against god' before he was born!!! Not logical at all.

In my experience they treated all us parents as if we were criminals or worse. At school meetings they would outnumber us and keep us from talking to each other. I love being up here where those kinds of attitudes are rarer.

A mother filmed her daughter's brutal assault of a shy and vulnerable teenager while advising her to "smash", kick and punch the victim.

Footage of the assault, posted on her daughter's MySpace page, was played to the County Court in Melbourne on Tuesday.

It showed the 16-year-old victim being punched, kicked and hit by the woman's 14-year-old daughter and her friend, 13.

The mother eggs the pair on, telling her daughter to "smash her" and "punch her in the face".

What she did was reprehensible and (IMO) the fact that she's an alcoholic shouldn't even come close to getting her a lighter sentence.
