Any interest in a central source for disability-related news?
Some of you may remember Ragged Edge. It was among the first things I checked each morning (sometimes even before DU :P ). Then one day it just disappeared, never to return.

There's Inclusion Daily Express:

but you have to pay for that (the guy is trying to make aliving off it, after all).

Based on an earlier discussion here in the office, I'm wondering if our center might be able to fill the void.

1. I'd say go for it.
We have regular folks who stay on top of Late Breaking News, Labor, Editorials and Other Articles, Photography, Veterans, and many, many other places. Pretty much every subject under the moon is covered somewhere on DU.

3. I was thinking well beyond DU!
I just threw it out here because this forum has (one hopes) more readers than my Facebook page. I'm trying to gauge whether the interest is out there.

2. I would like to see.....
a oe decentralized news reporting. I would like the local ILCs and Advocacy Organizations keep their sites constantly updated with local disability issues. Then a central source could get the newsfeeds from them and us locals could have a source to knwo whats up. Most ILCs sites are ads for their state grant officers to feel good about, updated once or twice a year, and then only with new ads for what thir grant officer gave them more money to do.
