Lili Rachel Smith; political and social activist, advocate dies at 15

"Lili Rachel Smith, 15, died Saturday of natural causes. Born into a family steeped in politics, Lili became a dedicated and outspoken activist for social and political issues at a very young age.

Although she was born with Apert's syndrome - a congenital disorder characterized by malformations of the skull, hands and feet - Lili required extensive and often painful surgeries at birth and at regular intervals during her life, her advocacy reached far."
