please help me in my superlame email campaign!!!!!!
ok, this seems mighty lame but i'm really upset that madden 2005 is playable for just about everything but the Mac. so, i decided that i should email EA and tell them that they better get on that! but, they told me i should instead direct me to aspyr who is a developer for them.
this is an excerpt from their response:

We continually evaluate games to be brought over to the platform, looking at several factors including its popularity, whether the Mac market is interested in the game, whether the company that owns the rights is interested in having a Mac version, and how hard it would be to port over (for example, if a game using the same software engine has already been ported, it becomes much easier for us to have it done). Our customers are one of the sources of determining interest, so we thank you for your mail.

so, PLEASE email scott@aspyr.com and technicalsupport@support.ea.com and get Madden on the MAC!!!!!!!!

1. That Is Pretty Lame.
Not because it's a bad idea, but because EA could give a rats ass about you or I. I hate EA and avoid them like the plague if possible. They did the same shit with the SEGA Dreamcast when they refused to develop for it. I think that decision alone doomed the Dreamcast and any future SEGA hardware. Fvck EA.

2. do you love sega dreamcast too :D

:loveya: i'm a gargantuan, humongous, stupendous sega fan. oh how i love my dreamcast. that system and its games were like a dream come true for me, almost as much as the sega saturn (with oodles of imports of course).

i've worked in EA offices before (outsourced short-term contract), not a happy vibe in the place. and lately (like the past 10 years) a lot of the magic is gone from EA games. not to rain on this guys parade, but i have no interest in petitioning EA either.

trust me, they really don't care about their customers, especially the mac market.

3. I Did Love It.
I got it on 9/9/99 and got about every peripheral I could find for it. It was a great system and easily beat the competition of the day (even the PS2 when it arrived) It's actually kind of an XBOX lite. I finally sold everything I had on e-bay last year. :( Have you tried to run Linux on yours or anything like that?

4. i was selling it on 9/9/99 and got it the same time.

i was there for the 'grand opening.' did the midnight open, finished my shift with the 'regular opening' of the store and bought my DC, trickstyle, and like the last copy of soul calibur in the store. :headbang:

i never sell systems, why did you sell yours? :(

i ran assembly programs on the VMU (there's a great portable tetris on it) hung out at the site that created more freeware programs for it. in fact i think those sites are still running strong playing with the VMU hardware.

i ran planetweb browsers, used it for IRC chat at one point, email, used it to run emulators (have a few discs of snes and nes games that i can play on my DC -- vga on a 17" or s-video that fave snes game on 27" tv baby!), and still there's more stuff i hear coming out for it in the tinkering community.

i've yet to hang out at the free phantasy star online servers. burned through plenty of free dial up registrations on that system, too bad most of them consolidated into net zero. i could look again for the free isps but i'm lazy now with broadband.

i only have 1 controller, the original that came with it. no light gun, no fishing rod (even though i have a fishing game), no twin sticks, arcade stick, or driver wheel... :( but i do have 2 free keyboards :7 one from each time i signed up with ATT and SEGAnet. if you've never played Typing of the Dead two players in the same room you haven't lived!! :D

great system, and still there's so much to play with!
