Parasite Motherfucking Eve gets not one but two sequels, and I can't get a single Vagrant Story sequel? Not even a freaking gaiden game? Can Ashley and/or Sydney at least get a shoutout in FF12?

Who the hell thought this was a good idea? Parasite Eve 2 was totally devoid of any kind of artistic or entertainment value unless you were completely baked while playing it, and had no business existing in the first place considering the first game a) sold like 10 copies and b) left absolutely no room for a sequel. None, nada, zilch. Particularly if you get the true ending of the game after beating Maya!Eve atop the Chrysler Building. I mean, this is the gaming equivalent of Son of the Mask: a halfway entertaining game getting a crapass sequel years too late, after the 3 people who maybe would have wanted it have long since stopped caring. Why, Square? Why do you continue to fuck with me, your loyal prophet?

This is going to drive me stark raving mad, I think. I'll end up like that nutcase who drags the giant wooden cross all over the country, only I'll have a giant cardboard standee of Sydney on my back. Until I'm 82 years old and can't carry it anymore, and I'm dribbling into my Depends and raving at a nursing home about how those bastards never made a damn Vagrant Story sequel. And then the orderlies will give me my meds.
