The Turn-Based Game Front!
Damn RTS! I want more turn-based games!

I always dreamed of the day we'd see the whole Avalon Hill catalog turned into computer games, but alas, it isn't so.

GIVE ME A TITANS TB GAME!

GIVE ME TALISMAN the TB GAME, DAMN IT!

1. Here Here!
I agree completely!

I currently hate, have always hated, and will always hate the RTS genre.

I've never played one I liked.

2. I love RTS
But I love turn-based, too.

The best RTS, to me, was always Total Annihilation. The only reason it isn't as well known as some others is, no really cool "missions". Oh, and the company quit supporting it.

3. I could never do the RTS thing
When I'm playing computer games I'm doing it largely to relax.

I don't like to feel rushed when I'm playing and I always do when playing RTS.

It's stressful. It's a stressful genre of computer gaming for me.

4. That's cool
I have ADD, so there are times when I need to get stressed, as it were.

Heck, I've gotten to where I just play One City Challenge in Civ2, because I can finish a game in a couple of hours.

6. agreed
I prefer it turn based - I'm too old to have to rely on my reflexes for any real time gaming.

8. A more updated game like Jagged Alliance
was Silent Storm.

Great turn based WW2 game where you can play each mission from both sides (allied/axis)

Cool game.
