Great News for Final Fantasy Music Fans

On the heels of the phenomenal success of the concert in LA during E3 2004, Square has decided to take the show on the road! Yep, that's right, for the first time ever Square is putting on a stateside concert tour featuring the genius work of the best game composer ever, Nobuo Uematsu (ok, so I'm a little biased!).

So far the first date announced is February 19, 2005 in the Chicago area with more dates to follow elsewhere. (The official site.) If you love Uematsu's music as much as I do, I would bookmark that page 'cause they are going to update it with more news and links to ticket info.

Also Uematsu is working on a Black Mages 2 CD with more metal arrangements of previous FF music. No ETA on that one that I know of but I will check it out because I loved the first CD.

I too consider Nobuo Uematsu's work the finest in all of the gaming community. I have a few of the orchestral cd's of FF VI and VII, and I would definitely look forward to listening to a live performance. Thanks for the info.
