Fable 2 question......
What breed of dog is the dog that follows you around in Fable 2? Anyone know? Its kinda looks like a Labrador to me but I'm not sure.

Is the dog a part of the main storyline?

5. Not really. He's a freebie follower (you can have one + Dogmeat)
He can be killed and once they are killed your followers do not come back but he is invaluable in defending you by distracting hand to hand enemies or by running ahead and biting down on shooters.

He is straight south of "Minefield" in an old junkyard...he is surrounted by raiders that he has torn to shreds.

8. DOGMEAT!!! Bestest dog in the whole game!
He keeps the baddies at bay while I take their heads off or deal with their chums. He takes delight in chasing down the attacker who has second thoughts and flees the scene too. Dogmeat is fearless!
Because Dogmeat keeps winding up dead, I find it prudent to save often. That way when he goes off and gets himself killed (or when I piss him off by shootin' him accidentally), I can go back to happier times. I currently have him hanging out back at Vault 101 but when I get done with the Nukecola factory I'll let him tag along again.

This game is the best distraction I have played since Elder Scrolls Oblivion... it's made by the same folks so I'm guessing it may make Game Of The Year like Oblivion did a couple of years back.

BTW that's a GREAT screen-capture! Is that a standard assault rifle? I am partial to the Chinese one, it hits harder. The scoped 44 magnum is a nice sidearm and I use a Chinese sword fairly often too, (it's messy in a...um...'scenic' way and reaches out a bit further than Occam's Razor or a Combat knife).

9. I ended up having stay at my Megaton house
I got tired of having to save constantly to keep him from dying. I think my next character will go get him first thing - he seems like a handy companion for a low-level character.

10. I do the same, he whines about it though/The new-guy
Dogmeat makes a fine early warning system out on a run but he is un-upgradeable. As my character grew stronger so did the baddies! Dogmeat otoh did not, so in order to keep him healthy/wealthy and whiny I left him home to keep an eye on a dumb robot!

I picked up a new companion, an ex-bouncer newly outfitted with Brotherhood of Steel power armor and a fully repaired mini-gun! I'll say no more about my new compadre except that I doubt he is welcome at Tenpenny Tower!

12. Nukeatreats?
I tell him what a good boy he is each visit to my home 'The Packrat Palace', (a reflection of my real home). I take him out to the store(s) every now and again but he still whines when I leave him home while I go out exploring. I take my trusty manservant Charon instead. Charon's outfit-able, Dogmeat is not plus Charon can carry lots'a stuff (oh and did I mention he found me a nice Fatman in medium condition recently?).

13. Not Dogmeat. Charon. You can make him welcome at Tenpenny Palace.
You have to do a quest a certain way though...it is positive in the Karma but not so positive for the current tenants.

14. I hadn't taken him there yet...
I've tended to stay away from that group of 'folks' since our first encounter. (We think differently). Now I'm gonna have to go see if we can come to a better understanding. Thanks for the tip!
