I didn't make the beta, but my group of (mostly) Pacific-time-zone gaming friends are gearing up to make this our next MMORPG. Launch is September 18.

And yes, we'll be playing Chaos. :evilgrin:

checking out the codes tonight when I get home I think the beta starts tomorrow...

4. Open beta doesn't start 8/15 after all.

Turns out today is the day you can start entering your pre-order codes to tie them to your Mythic account, but they haven't actually announced when the Open Beta starts.

Boo.

5. I know, was so disappointed..

I had gotten up several times last night to try and register, but no love was shown till about 10:30 this morning. Started to look around for the download links to find out they won't tell us probably for at least a week. Well, poop.

Oh well, guess Age of Conan has another week left on my hard drive.

8. War update

I'm stuck at work today so I thought I would call Jumptheshadow and she how she was doing. It went like this...

BTW I really like the game so far. Love the public quests.

9. Public Quests and instant-RvR scenarios were fun.

Graphics were a little less stunning than I had expected, but I suppose Mythic will release a texture update within a few months like they did with DAOC.

To be honest, I prefer gameplay and setting over graphics, so I'm hooked. :)

10. Picked up a pre-order last weekend.

Got my keys and am dying waiting till Sunday and open beta starts.

Think I'm gonna play chaos the first time around.

I'll be trying out the goblin shaman and the chaos zealot.

Preview customers are playing now. Hope it opens for open beta at midnight. :)

I'm gonna do chaos, but also am intrigued by greenskin squig herder.

I played a ranger in EQ, then a Beastie after Luclin, as well as a scout in DAoC and a rat conjuror in EQ2 (cow hunter in WoW), so I guess you could say I like ranged combat and pets.

Those who are playing in the beta, let's start a thread on what server we're on...would be nice to have a ready-made DU group to play together a bit.
