"It's the latest iteration (not to mention the biggest) of the most talked-about series in gaming today. The game was a runaway success on PS2, both commercially and critically, which has done nothing but stoke the already intense excitement for the inevitable ports.

Judging from the nature of Rockstar's past GTA ports, we had a pretty good guess what the PC version of San Andreas would be like. During a recent demo of the PC version, Rockstar did not prove us wrong -- in almost every conceivable way, the game is largely unchanged. It looks a whole lot better, and there a couple of neat little features that have been added to it, but for the most part, it's the same game you've been dying to play since it arrived on PS2 last October. Which isn't a bad thing by any stretch."

Anyone else counting the days?

1. My son is counting down the days for the X-box

I'm gonna get it on the PC. I hope old my Atlhon 1700XP machine can run it (hey...it was top of the line when I bought it).

I still enjoy the PS2 version. You'll love it on the PC.

3. You guys should really check out "Mafia," if you haven't already...

I've played all the GTA games (all five) though I only played part of San Andreas. That said, you must get your hands on Mafia -- it's the same style of game but the story is simply amazing... It's just one of those games you never forget. It was being developed at the same time as GTA 3 and the graphics were so much nicer than the competition. I still rank it above anything Rockstar has put out.

Although I'm leaving my home country for a month on June 8th, so I'll have to wait until I get back to get it.
