1. The original glitch:

In Pacman you could put Pacman in that one spot and let him sit there forever, and the ghosts would never touch him.

3. The lack of roofs in GTAIII
If you were lucky enough to get in a bizarre accident or if you could master the Dodo you could find buildings in GTAIII that lacked visible roofs (but allowed you to stand on them) and you could also find "holes" in the map where you could fly through buildings.

I must have spent ten hours mucking around with this glitch (partly because of an obsession with good sniping spots).

4. Falling into empty space in X-Men Legends
There were a couple of places where I literally fell off the map in X-Men: Legends...

1. While exploring the mines area, I think on the Asteroid, I blasted away a wall and discovered that the area beyond did not have a floor. As soon as I walked in, I was falling helplessly to my doom.

2. On the space station, I fell though a razor-thin gap between a door and the floor. I fell all the way to the "Earth" before I realized that I was playing Storm and could fly. So, I flew back to the station and was able to fly through a solid wall to get back in.

6. Ok...I'm dating myself here...on Advanced D&D for the Intellivision:
At the beginning you could go to the lower left corner (you start out on a world map) and press diagonally down and right, and end up in the top left corner. That would immediately take you to the end so you could walk right up to the last mountain.

One of my uncles lived with us when I was a kid and had the Intellivision. He found this glitch and showed me.

12. There's also the glitch where
you can't work out in the gym. I've had that happen to me on several occasions. Luckly I know how to fix the glitch.

9. Stupid Tommy Tricks (vice city)
Get to the mainland early: Get a pcj600 and hit the roadblock at full speed and tommy should fly straight over, if he survives, you can hellicopter back tothe other side

Minigun Trick: get tommy a minigun (do the above trick to get enough hidden packages to spawn one) and hold the minigun when tommy gets a phone call and he'll lift it over his head

Run off the pier: for any cortez mission and hit the pier markaer at full speed and tommy will run off the pier and into the water as the mission is initiated (the mission will play, you don't die)

10. The earliest one I know of
Rapidly flicking the power switch on an Atari 2600 with the Space Invaders cartridge in it could cause the player to have the ability to fire two shots at a time.

Also, in Missile Command, getting a score of zero in either variation 12 or 13 would cause the developer's initials to form out of the rubble of of one of the cities. I think it was "RF" or something like that.

My favorite, though, had to be in Tempest. If you had a score over 200,000 that ended in a certain 2-digit combination AND you didn't have to enter your initials into the top-10 list when you were done, the game would suddenly rack up 40 free credits after a couple minutes. Another combination was supposed to unlock the machine's bookkeeping mode and would let you select any starting level, but I never found that one for myself.

11. Gran Turismo 2
One glitch is that you can never get higher than 98 % completion even if you have completed all of the races.

The other major glitch is that if you do "Machine Test" and record around 10 or so times in the tests, the game will erase all of the cars in your garage.
