Any Everquest 2 Players?
I'm on Antonia Bayle. Wasted time with multiple characters so I'm not high level yet but...

18th Druid
17th Warrior
13th Predator

1. I'm on AB too..

18 Sorc -> Wiz (Q)
12 Cle -> Temp (Q)
18 War -> Berz (FP)

at the moment. And I level veryyy slowly cause I generally go around with exp turned off. Because I don't want to miss anything. I hate being a perfectionist in a game with thousands of quests to complete, that you can't get above a certain level -_-.

2. I know what you mean.
I've been taking my time, though I don't turn the EXP off. My main problem is how many people just go through a leveling mill and ignore the quests. Go to Vermins SNye and nobody is there. Go to the crow fields by the TS Gryphon station and there are tons of groups.

THe ones 'leveling' on crows have lots of grey and green gear because they haven't done quests...I was in a group where the tank...THE FUCKING TANK...had lower armor class than I did with my druid. Same level as me...wearing practically his newbie gear.

So annoying.

3. I'm the kind of person who must have.. everything.
I find, say, I've missed one quest started from a chest drop.. and freak out. Let me tell you, "trivial loot" (or non-loot, as it should be called), is the bane of my existance. Heck, if they had that in EQ1, I never would have gotten anything. After all, why have a hard fight when you can just wait till it's green =P (green in 1 terms that is).
But yeah, I can't understand at all when people are like "Lv 8 LFG!" I just think, jeez, how can you have time at level 8, cause at that point i was in the middle of 60-80 quests. It's even worse now on my second char, cause I know where to get them all in advance, so journal is 100% full constantly.

4. Yeah people LFG under 14-15 are funny.
If you just go around to all the newbie zones, pick up all the quests and do them, along with your heritage quests...well you'll solo up to level 13 at the very least before you're done. Then you have even more quests to do. After 15 you need to start heading out and need to occasionally do some group leveling but it's not necessary at all.

I know someone who's late 20's and never been in a group at all.

I think grouping is fun, and part of the game. If you want to group up at level 9 to get a bunch of your newbie quests done..great! but to just be out in Antonica saying LFG at that point is wrong. They end up with no gear and suck in groups.

5. Aw, man! My wife and I are on Lavastorm.

Guess we won't be able to chat in game or anything. :(

I have a 27 ranger named Smirkey Chimpinchief :evilgrin:
I have a 6 troll fighter named Thela (as in the King Crimson song Thela Hun Ginjeet) who's still on the Isle of Refuge. Gotta betray him to Qeynos eventually....
My wife has a 22 conjurer named Trystenne, and a level 6 fighter named Calyss.

It's a hell of a great game, and as they fix the bugs and add heaps of content it just gets better and better!

And I understand all too well the full quest journal syndrome. :P

6. On Highkeep here.
Lotta toons...

29 Ratonga Conjuror (betrayed to Qeynos)
23 Wood Elf Ranger
17 Gnome Summoner (gonna reverse betray to FP to be a necro)
12 Troll SK-to-be
12 Dwarf Tank

...and just rolled up a lvl 12 Erudite Sorcerer to see how the new boost to the class feels.

Have about 4 more "experimental" toons on Test as well...crazy stuff like gnome druid, troll druid, ogre bard... love the game!

7. I've wanted to ask someone on Test
do your chars there count towards your total limit?

8. Nope...separate toon count.
Since I upgraded to the "station pass" (or whatever it's called) so I could pay less to play eq2 and keep my eq1 account active, I now have 8 toon slots (total) on all the live servers, plus 8 more on Test.

Hammies!
