Skepta-palooza on NatGeo channel today!

Well, so much for the idea of getting anything done today...

Today NatGeo channel is running a marathon of "The Truth Behind..." series. Bigfoot! Crop circles! Bermuda Triangle! Nasca lines! Druids! Lost Ark AND Noah's Ark! Etc. Nine hours of this stuff. I've seen some of these shows but others are new to me.

I'm in the Pacific time zone and it started at 9 AM here. The Nasca lines segment is on now, describing how archeologists found a headless body under part of the lines. And a bunch of skulls not far away.

The Druids episode just finished, full of stuff I never knew. Yes, you're right, "stuff I don't know" is a pretty low bar...:P

I've always been fascinated by the Roman assault on the Druids' last stronghold and "Vatican," Anglesey Island. Another big religion fail! The natives tried lots of rituals to make their gods stop the Roman invasion, including the sacrifice of a young nobleman...whose remarkably well-preserved body was found. Result: Romans control Britain for the next 400 years...
