News Flash! All health issues in the world are solved, except Gardasil
This evil vaccine, apparently responsible for the death of 400 billion women, requires more discussion than all other matters.

Note to lurkers:

Oh, well. You wouldn't listen anyway.

1. I can't take the stoopid any more.
I need a break from the Health Scare Lounge.

I'm sure the rest of you can survive without me.

They are allowed to post as many threads as they want to, all citing the same sources.

In other forums it's called spam.

I went back to kick other threads but it's hopeless.

8. Your reaction is probably due to the adjuvant...
used by the mosquito. My guess is the mosquito is using a proprietary adjuvant that was not tested properly! If I were you I would take the mosquito to court and sue the proboscis off of her. You also need to report the reaction as soon as possible to http://vaers.hhs.gov/.

10. I have tried to counter these anti-vaccine types...
but gave up a while back. One can't reason with ignorance and willful stupidity. Am also one of those shills for the Pharma companies but I always make it a point to disclosed that I work for Pharma companies (as a consultant) in phase 1-IV clinical trials (mostly oncology studies). I am biased because overall, I think we do a good job at what we do but I have been fortunate that the drugs I work on already have the potential to kill you anyway so they can't use that against me (sorry for the bad humor but I spent to many years in hospitals and my morgue humor comes out.

I worked on a herpes type 2 vaccine with a large California company about 10 years ago and the vaccine failed in clinical trial because it did not give immunity to those who received the active vaccine. We did see a lot of deaths in the study. At least four were shot to death (drug/gang related), one was shot by his girlfriend for cheating on her and we had one suicide. It was a tough study. The patients generally came from STD clinics. I have some wild but true stories related to that study.

11. Sounds like a malaria vaccine trial I was aquainted with
back when I worked at NIH. It was being run by Johns Hopkins, but I recall my boss telling us how many patients they lost due to incarceration...Its really sad that it seems only the desperate want to volunteer for these clinical trials....

12. The reason we used the SDT clinic population...
was the subject's had to be a risk for HSV. They had to have had at least one STD in the past year or at least 4 sexual partners in the past year to qualify. It seemed like a good idea to use these clinics. I really changed my mind on people who lived in the inner-city. Every day is a matter of survival for these people. A very sad situation.

One STD clinic actually got a lot of their subjects from the veterinary school. It seems that the pressure of veterinary school causes a lot of sex between the students. That is one of my funny stories associated with the study. One of my sub-investigators was a veterinarian and he said when he was in school everyone was having sex with everyone else and things had not changed much since he had graduated!

13. Wow.
So the anti-vaccine faction could have claimed those deaths were related to the vaccine?

I don't blame you for staying out of it, I quit for a while and promise I won't come back but I always do. Mostly it's the guilt, I see the skeps in this forum getting beaten up and have to jump back in.
I've even hidden the healthscare forum and this group because I feared for my sanity.

14. The deaths were attributed to and overdose of high velocity lead...
Good thing there was no lead found in the vaccine.

I'm sooo bad, someone please :spank: me!

One is an annoying -sucking pest and the other is a mosquito.

6. hmmmmm it seems
the press is "in" on the conspiracy except when it agrees with your viewpoint and then it is the font of all that is truthful. It requires a very special sort of memory to operate in conspiracy land as far as I can tell.

7. We don't need it anyway
since HPVs don't lead to cervical cancer, right? (Note to disruptors: I realize it doesn't in 100% of cases.) Forget the "Human Tumor Viruses" book I have with 2 chapters on HPVs. That chapter called "Activities of HPV Transforming Proteins" discussing the interaction of E6 with p53 and E7 with Rb is just made up by mad scientists who want to make lots of money faking research.
